Red Fort The UNESCO world heritage site , Red Fort is one of the top architectural marvels that was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan. Each year on the independence day , the Prime Minister unfurls the National Flag from the ramparts of Red Fort.

Jama Masjid :Another outstanding construction of Emperor Shah Jahan – Jama Masjid is the largest mosque of the country . It came into being in 1655 and since then it has enthralled the pilgrims and the tourist alike with its architectural grandeur . Jama Masjid has a huge courtyard and it can accommodate 25,000 worshippers at one time . Every Friday afternoon , thousands of worshippers flock to this famous mosques of India to offer their weekly namaz.

Raj Ghat People find solace and peace in this memorial of Mahatama Gandhi - the father of the nation and apostle of peace . Raj Ghat is the site where Gandhi was cremated on January 31, 1948. There is a permanent flame which keeps on burning which reminds the humanity of the relevance of peace and non violence in this strife torn world .

Feroz Shah Kotla fort : This dilapidated structure was once upon a time the capital city of Firoz Shah Tuglaq the ruler of Delhi between 1351 -1388. Situated adjacent to the Firoz Shah Kotla cricket stadium, this fort reminds of the rich heritage of monuments existing in the bygone era.

India Gate Another outstanding masterpiece built by Edwin Lutyen, India Gate is one of the most visited monuments of the National Capital . It was built in the memory of over 90,000Indian Soldiers who laid down their lives in the Afghan Wars and World War 1. The 42 meter high India Gate lies close to both the Parliament House as well as Rastrapati Bhawan.

Humayun's Tomb: Built in by Hamida Banu Begum in the memory of her husband - Hamayun the erstwhile Moghul ruler of India , Humayun's Tomb is a World Heritage site . It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and amazing water courses . It is said that the World famous Taj Mahal was built on the designs of Humayun's Tomb.

Qutab Minar Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Qutab Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world . It was constructed by Qutub din Aibak – the founder of the slave dynasty. The 72.5 meter high tower complex also houses the renowned iron pillar and the sculpture remnants of ancient India.

Lotus Temple: This Bahai House of Worship –The Lotus Temple is one on the newest architectural creation of modern India . Constructed in 1986, it is built in the shape of lotus flower . Every day over 13,000 visitors pay visit to this famed temple.

Indira Gandhi Memorial : The former residence of Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Indira Gandhi Memorial showcases important aspects connected with her life.
